Terms of Service

Terms for SmallTownBoyAI, including AI-generated content standards, reporting, moderation, and enforcement.

Last updated: 2026-10-18

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using this service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Description of Service

SmallTownBoyAI provides tools and experiences for AI-generated dance videos based on two portrait photos. Feature availability is described in the product interface; a local preview does not mean a video generation request has been submitted. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, with reasonable notice where possible.

User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.

AIGC Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Scope and responsibility

This AUP forms part of these Terms and applies to photos, prompts, reference materials, generated videos and audio, and any other content submitted, generated, stored, or shared through SmallTownBoyAI. You must comply with it when requesting generation and when using or distributing the results, including unsuccessful attempts to generate prohibited content.

For a two-person dance video, you must have permission from both people depicted to use their likenesses for AI generation and the intended sharing or commercial use, as well as the necessary rights to the source photos. Possessing a photo, finding it online, or knowing the person does not establish permission. Where a minor is depicted in otherwise permitted, non-sexual content, you must obtain the required parent or legal guardian consent and comply with applicable child-protection rules. Consent never permits content prohibited below. We may request evidence of authorization.

Content standards: six prohibited categories

You must not upload, request, generate, store, or distribute any of the following through the service:

  1. Pornography / NSFW: pornography, explicit sexual acts, sexualized nudity, fetish content, sexual exploitation, or non-consensual intimate imagery. This prohibition applies to real, fictional, and AI-generated subjects; adult status or consent does not create an exception.
  2. Violence / gore: graphic injury, dismemberment, torture, depictions of cruelty, or content that threatens, glorifies, incites, or facilitates violence, terrorism, extremist violence, or self-harm. Instructions for weapons of mass destruction are also prohibited.
  3. Hate speech: content promoting discrimination, dehumanization, harassment, or violence against people based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability, including incitement to genocide or ethnic hatred.
  4. Child-unsafe content / CSAM: child sexual abuse material, sexualized depictions of anyone under 18 or appearing to be under 18, grooming, exploitation, abuse, or content that endangers children. The prohibition includes synthetic, fictional, and altered images and videos, regardless of claimed consent.
  5. Deepfakes / impersonation: unauthorized use or manipulation of a real person's face, likeness, or voice; deceptive impersonation; fabricated endorsements; and content falsely implying that a person performed, said, or consented to something. Non-consensual sexual deepfakes are strictly prohibited. Authorized, non-deceptive dance animation is permitted only when it complies with every other rule in this AUP and is clearly disclosed as AI-generated when shared; it must not be presented as footage of an actual performance.
  6. Copyright / trademark infringement: content using photos, videos, music, choreography, artwork, logos, or other protected material without the necessary rights, a valid license, or another lawful basis. Do not create counterfeit branding or falsely imply affiliation or endorsement. AI generation does not remove third-party rights or automatically grant commercial-use rights.

We have zero tolerance for CSAM, terrorism or mass-violence facilitation, weapons-of-mass-destruction instructions, genocide incitement, and non-consensual sexual deepfakes. Calling content a joke, a private test, or a creative experiment does not exempt it from these rules.

Other prohibited conduct

You must not violate applicable laws; infringe privacy, publicity, or other rights; gain unauthorized access to systems or data; disrupt the service; distribute spam or malware; or use generated content for fraud, harassment, or harmful deception. You must not bypass safety controls through altered prompts, obfuscated images, repeated requests, or replacement accounts. Do not remove or conceal AI disclosures to mislead viewers.

Platform content moderation

We may review materials submitted to the service and generated results to investigate suspected violations and enforce this AUP. Review may involve automated safety controls available through the relevant model provider and manual assessment of flagged or reported content. Provider checks vary by model and do not constitute comprehensive screening of all six prohibited categories. A local-only photo preview is not a platform content review.

Reports and suspected violations are assessed using available content, task or account records, and any supporting information or authorization evidence. Child safety, non-consensual intimate content, and credible threats receive priority; access to relevant content or services may be restricted while the matter is reviewed. We may reassess prior decisions and adjust safeguards in light of reports and identified gaps. Access to review materials is limited to what is reasonably necessary for safety, investigation, and legal obligations, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Automated checks can miss violations or flag permitted content. A successful generation is not approval of the content or proof of authorization. We do not promise that every input or output is reviewed in real time or that all prohibited content will be detected. You remain responsible for complying with this AUP.

Reporting content or abuse

Users, depicted individuals, rights holders, and other affected persons can report suspected violations by emailing support@smalltownboyai.io with the subject “AUP Report”. Use “Urgent — Child Safety” or “Urgent — Threat” where appropriate.

Please include the relevant page or content link, task ID if available, approximate date and time, the suspected violation and its reasons, and an email address for follow-up. For impersonation or intellectual-property complaints, explain your relationship to the affected person or rights holder and provide available authorization or ownership evidence. Provide only information necessary to investigate. Do not download, attach, or redistribute suspected CSAM or non-consensual intimate material; provide its location and a non-graphic description instead.

Our report-handling process is to assess urgency, review available evidence, request clarification if needed, decide on appropriate measures, and communicate the outcome where permitted. We will acknowledge and respond to reports within 3 business days of receipt; for urgent safety reports involving child safety, non-consensual intimate content, or credible threats, we will complete review and take appropriate action within 24 hours of receipt, including weekends and holidays. If further investigation is required, we will apply necessary interim protective measures within that same 24-hour period and notify the reporter of the reason for the additional investigation and the expected completion date. We handle reports in good faith and limit disclosure of reporter information to what is necessary for investigation or required by law. Deliberately false or abusive reports are prohibited; a good-faith report is not a violation merely because it is unsubstantiated.

Enforcement actions

Depending on severity, repetition, and risk, we may take one or more of these measures:

  • Issue a warning and require the user to stop the conduct or remove offending material.
  • Reject a generation request, or remove or disable access to offending content under our control.
  • Restrict access to generation or other service features, or temporarily suspend access during investigation.
  • Terminate access for serious or repeated violations, including attempts to evade prior restrictions.
  • Preserve necessary evidence and report suspected unlawful conduct to competent authorities, or cooperate with lawful requests, where required or permitted by law.

Serious child-safety violations, non-consensual sexual deepfakes, or credible threats may result in immediate protective action without prior warning; a warning is not a prerequisite. Where lawful and practicable, we will explain the reason for an action and how to appeal. Actions apply to content and services within our control; we may ask users to remove copies shared elsewhere. Billing and refund questions remain subject to our refund policy and applicable law.

Appeals

If you believe an action was mistaken, email support@smalltownboyai.io with the subject “AUP Appeal”. Include the affected account or task, the decision received, your explanation, and relevant evidence. We will reconsider the decision through manual review and communicate the result where permitted; protective restrictions may remain in place during review. If the decision is reversed, we will restore access or content where feasible.

Payment and Billing

Purchases and automatic renewal

We offer one-time credit packs and monthly or annual subscriptions, as available on the pricing page. The checkout shows the selected plan, currency, price, billing interval, and applicable taxes before payment. Annual subscriptions are charged for the full year in advance, even if a monthly equivalent is displayed. One-time credit packs are charged once and do not automatically renew.

Monthly subscriptions automatically renew every month, and annual subscriptions automatically renew every year, until you cancel before the next renewal. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method for the subscription price and applicable taxes shown at checkout. We will give advance notice of changes to recurring prices before they apply, so you can cancel before being charged the changed amount. You are responsible for keeping your billing information accurate.

How to cancel online

You can cancel online without contacting support:

  1. Sign in to the account used for purchase and open Settings → Billing.
  2. Find the relevant subscription and open its actions menu (the three-dot button).
  3. Select Cancel Subscription and confirm the cancellation in the dialog.
  4. Check the confirmation and updated subscription status. If cancellation fails or the subscription is missing, contact support@smalltownboyai.io with your account email and order or subscription number.

Cancel before the next renewal date shown in Billing to prevent the next recurring charge. Successful cancellation stops future renewals; it does not reverse a payment already processed or automatically request a refund. Previously granted, unspent credits remain subject to their original expiration dates; cancellation does not extend them. Signing out, ceasing use, or deleting local files does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds

You may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of a purchase or renewal charge if none of the credits granted by that payment have been used. Eligibility is assessed for each payment separately. A generation failure that returns credits is a credit adjustment, not a cash refund, and does not erase prior usage for this unused-credit offer. Duplicate charges, non-delivery, and mandatory legal rights are addressed separately in our Refund Policy.

The Refund Policy forms part of these Terms and explains eligibility, exclusions, how to apply, processing, and the effect on credits and subscriptions.

Photo and Video Storage

All plans include 12-month photo & video storage, including tasks using gift credits. Photos and generated videos are retained for 12 calendar months from the task start, regardless of the plan or credits used. This policy also extends existing media still held by us; files already deleted cannot be restored. Download your files before expiry. After expiry, access stops and background cleanup removes the stored media, with retries for failed deletions. You may request earlier deletion by contacting support; content may also be removed under these Terms. Media retention is separate from credit validity and subscription renewal. Third-party AI providers apply their own processing and retention policies.

Intellectual Property

The service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time if you violate these terms. You may close your account at any time through your account settings.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, sending a notice through the service.
